From 1 January 2013 passport issuing procedure time is reduced from the current 30 days to 20 days. In addition the extraordinary procedure (in 7 days), the urgent procedure (in 3 days) and the prompt procedure (in 24 hours) also remain available even on weekends.

The Certificate of Good Conduct and the Official Certificate had been standardized as well. In the future the so-called “Official Certificate of Good Conduct” will be issued instead of them. The new green-coloured application forms can be filled out simply, without any complications and can be applied for in Post Offices and online by Customer Gate and by Web Assistant as well. The new Official Certificate of Good Conduct looks like the one before but its data content is renewed.

The Official Certificate of Good Conduct can verify - appointed in the application and defined by law - compliance with specific conditions, or clean criminal record, in addition the fact whether the applicant is under the effect of forbidding from public affairs, forbidding from profession or what kind of profession she/he is forbidden.

If we require verification of compliance with special conditions defined by law (for example for practicing a profession, performing an activity or getting permission) we have to fill in the IV. field of the application. At the same time if we require verification of other than the above mentioned compliance with conditions we have to fill in out the V. field of the application.

The fee of the new Official Certificate of Good Conduct does not change: it remains 3100 HUF.

In accordance with the ”Magyary” Simplification Program of the government the customers’ administrative burdens also will be reduced, so customers can arrange their affairs faster and easier.
